Crop Protection Undergraduate Program Profile Video

Andalas University's Undergraduate Plant Protection Program aims to produce graduates with scientific understanding, technical skills, and a professional attitude in the field of plant protection. This program emphasizes the management of plant pests (OPT), including pests, diseases, and weeds, through an integrated, sustainable, and science-based approach.

The curriculum of the Undergraduate Plant Protection Program is comprehensively designed, combining theory and field practice. Students are equipped with fundamental and applied knowledge in insect bioecology, phytopathology, plant microbiology, biological control, and modern plant protection technologies. The learning process is supported by laboratory practicals, scientific research, direct involvement in field activities, and community service.

This program also encourages the development of analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and the application of environmentally friendly technologies in agricultural systems. With the support of competent faculty and adequate laboratory facilities, graduates of the Undergraduate Plant Protection Program at Andalas University are expected to be able to actively contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture, increasing food security, and responsible management of biological resources.
