Central Laboratory
Andalas University (Unand) Central Laboratory is a center of excellence that provides advanced facilities to support education, research, and scientific analysis/measurement services for students, lecturers, and researchers, with a focus on basic Chemistry, Physics, and Biology practicums as well as innovation development, even having the latest equipment that is rare in Southeast Asia.
Main Functions and Services
- Education: Conducts basic practicums (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) for first-year students to fulfill course learning outcomes (CP-MK) through hands-on practical experience.
- Research: Provides a state-of-the-art platform for lecturer and student research activities, supporting the discovery of new knowledge and the development of innovation.
- Analysis & Measurement: Offers high-precision analysis and measurement services for physical or chemical parameters using advanced instrumentation.
Facilities and Excellence
- Modern Equipment: Equipped with sophisticated and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, some of which are claimed to be the only ones of their kind in Southeast Asia.
