Plant Protection Unand and Hue University Establish Collaboration

Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas has officially established an international collaboration with Plant Protection Department, Hue University, Vietnam. The partnership encompasses joint teaching, joint research and publication, community service, and student mobility.

The collaboration was initiated through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Rector of Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, followed by the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) by the Head of Plant Protection Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hoang Dong. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy, Hue University, Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Thai Hoa.

Representing Universitas Andalas, the event was attended by the Secretary of Plant Protection Department, Dr. Haliatur Rahma, and the Head of Plant Protection Master’s Program, Dr. My Syahrawati. The ceremony took place in Hue City, Vietnam, on August 30, 2025.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen academic and research cooperation at the international level while providing broader opportunities for students and faculty members to contribute to the advancement of plant protection science globally.
